Product Sales Assistant Intern (Paid)

Monroe, CT

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Product Sales Assistant Intern is responsible for participating in the development of the short and long-term product sales strategy for the council and assisting the Product Sales Managers with implementing the annual tactical plan within their assigned region to ensure the success of the council’s product sales programs. 

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Performs administrative support directly to the Director of Product Sales.
  • Assist the Product Sales Managers in providing training, coordination, and support for all Product Sales Volunteers.
  • Assists Girl Program staff to implement the program aspects of the council’s product sales.
  • Assists the Product Sales Manager with maintaining product sales records.
  • Assist in maintaining Girl Scouts Cookie Cupboards.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Business Administration, Management majors preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of staff, volunteers, and girls
  • Ability to work well in an interdepartmental team environment with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail with skilled communication and team-building skills.

ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Travel to support Cookie Sale events may be required.
  • Valid Connecticut driver’s license.
  • Project management skills.
  • Active participation in scheduled Girl Scouts events.
  • Ability to work flexible work hours (evenings, weekends) to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Proven customer service skills (both verbal and written) required.
